Wet Sand Making Process Flow

The two main common production processes for artificial sand are wet sand making and dry sand making. These methods are widely used in the sand production industry. If water is inconvenient or the region is dry, dry sand making is more suitable. On the other hand, wet sand making is more suitable for users and regions with abundant water resources.

Wet sand making refers to the process of using water washing during the material screening and crushing process in the sand production line, combined with the use of stone washing machine and sand washing machine to wash the coarse and fine aggregates. Because wet sand making process requires a large amount of water, it is more commonly used in regions with abundant water resources, especially in the southern regions. Wet sand making production process does not generate a large amount of dust, resulting in low mud content, high cleanliness, and good visual appearance of the finished product, making it an ideal material for large-scale construction projects.

I. Wet Sand Making Process Flow:

The raw materials fall onto the vibrating feeder from the hopper, undergo simple screening and soil removal, and then enter the jaw crusher for coarse crushing. Next is the medium and fine crushing process, using a cone crusher or impact crusher. The materials are then transported to the sand making machine by a conveyor for sand making operation. After screening and sizing, the unqualified materials are sent back for further crushing, while the qualified ones are moved to the next process. In the wet sand making process, the sand washing machine is responsible for the final operation. After thorough cleaning and dehydration, the finished sand is transported to the stockpile.

II. Wet Sand Making Production Line Case:

Crushed Material: Granite

The equipment used in this project includes one ZSW1860 vibrating feeder, one JC140 jaw crusher, one PFQ1520 impact crusher, one PFQ1315 impact crusher, one PLS1200 vertical impact crusher, two 4YKR2773 vibrating screens, one 3YKR3280 vibrating screen, one 3YKR2160 vibrating screen, and one sand washing and recycling integrated machine.

Process Flow:

The materials are fed into the JC jaw crusher by the ZSW feeder for coarse crushing, and then enter the PFQ impact crusher for medium and fine crushing. The crushed aggregates from previous stages are fed into the PLS impact crusher for sand making and shaping. The sand after screening is sent to the spiral sand washing machine for washing the aggregates. The fine powder and soil washed out are sent to the fine sand recycling integrated machine for sand recovery. The wastewater from sand washing is reused through a wastewater recycling device.
